Hygienik was asked to install cladding around a large cylindrical vessel in the pre-production area of the Walkers’ plant at their Leicester headquarters.
We also cladded a large internal wall in the same location. The area cladded was in excess of 200 square metres.
Fitting standard 4m cladding panels around a huge circular tank requires expert use of polymer bonding. The bonding is flexible enough to allow some movement while maintaining a high-strength hygienic seal.
Cladding a round surface is an unusual challenge, but the right fixings and installation knowledge resulted in a pristine cladded surface that is easy to clean and maintain. The tank is approximately 10 metres high with a circumference of 12 metres.
